do you ever just sit in a moment and think how the hell did i end up here?

hiya, you can call me gemini.

i work full time about 5-6 days a week and constantly find myself day dreaming about being somewhere or anywhere f***ing else. i made this for all the others that just need to make something to look forward to.

being based in sacramento, ca with only a few weekends to spare, i build itineraries for myself when i have the time. there have been some lessons learned or opportunities missed throughout my experiences, but my hope is to share those with you as well.

potentially out of being a complete dumba** or a naive idiot [probably both] i've actually gone to all of the places that i write about [no f***ing joke and it can get expensive and has put me in credit card debt], so if you find the photos are s*** or the content limiting, please kindly f*** off.

please keep in mind that i only do this when i have the capacity [it's a s***y hobby], meaning i may not post frequently or of all my travels. i also leave referral codes and links to products or services that i currently use—there is no obligation to use those, but i do get some benefits that help me continue with my own adventures.

the itineraries i post are just what i went through, so only take what you want from it all. i budget a certain amount each month to go on trips, but i know everyone’s budgets are different. [sometimes i go over, and thank f***ing god, sometimes under but those are lessons learned each time].

tips for engagement

01

have a few weekends in mind

depending on when you’re free can drastically change pricing options, access to certain activities or amenities.

03

have general budget

of course you have the potential of going over or under, but remember you are doing this for you and only you can determine how much capacity you have to spend on self care.

05

know what you love

my adventures are geared toward my own interests— long boarding, snowboarding, hiking, film, food and art — beyond what i post, you should cater your trips to you. [speaking of which — if you have a place or experience you would like me to try out for you, please contact me below.]

02

have your homebase(s)

depending on where you are located, your travel time and budget and will differ. some of these locations may work better or worse for you. for instance, living in sacramento, having friends in the bay area and family in los angeles, i have three bases to reduce my lodging and transportation budgets.

04

know yourself

my own positionality as a non-binary afab (assigned female at birth) asian american person from a middle-class upbringing gives me certain preconceived notions, privileges, issues and expectations going into certain places or experiences.

06

finally, be open

most of the experiences i share are also first time trys for me too, so learn from my mistakes or take inspiration and build your own adventures. if you find yourself in one of these places and decide to throw out everything and enjoy the moment that’s even better and i want that for you.
